I have this program and it works with Windows 98 and Windows XP - is there an upgrade for Windows 7?

Answer by Robert Polubinski

The first thing to try for Better Homes is a compatibility tweak. Right click the installation package and go to Properties > Compatibility. Use the drop down menu to select a previous version of Windows and then launch it. According to data found on the Internet, the software is compatible with the following versions of Windows: Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista.

If the software doesn't work, you will have to virtualize one of those operating systems (XP is easier to install and use) and then transfer the files to that location to run them.

Answer by Aiden McLeod

Yes. Using this product, you can create a plan of your backyard in order to use it for a city permit. However, the application was discontinued, and the only way to obtain a copy is to use Google and search for a retail website that has it on sale like Amazon.
